LG 2014 catalogue, review of 1X1 split air conditioning units
Today we are going to review the 1X1 split air conditioning units of the LG 2014 catalogue, reviewing all the series as well as the characteristics of these units. We will start with the most economical units in this catalogue and continue by gradually breaking down all the range of inverter air conditioning units in the domestic range.

Cheap LG inverter air conditioning
If we talk about cheap LG brand inverter air conditioning units we should start by talking about the STAR inverter V 9K series (E09EL.NSH) available from 795€ from the LG 2014 catalogue and with a nominal cooling capacity of 2.5 kW. In heat pump mode this unit is capable of producing 3.2 kW of cooling capacity with energy coefficients A+ and A respectively. This unit is accompanied by the 3.5 kW nominal cooling capacity unit, the E12EL.NSH with identical energy labels and a price of 840€. In its technical characteristics there is not much more to add, since it does not have many technological improvements or significant advances, as we already said it is the cheap inverter air conditioning unit from LG, no more.
LG SILVER DECO Inverter V air conditioning
With the Silver deco Inverter V series we are now entering into air conditioning units with a remarkable energy efficiency and more refined and curved designs that at first sight give us a feeling of more quality in materials and finishes. This series is composed of four units and powers starting with the unit P09RL.NSB with 2.5 kW of cooling power and a price of 900€ and ending with the most powerful unit, the P24EL.NS2 with 6.8 kW of nominal cooling power and a price of 2150€. This range is completed by the 3.5 kW and 5.0 kW units with a price of 950 and 1350€, respectively.
The main features of this series are the active energy control with which significant energy savings are achieved, the 19 dB sound pressure for the 2.5 kW and 3.5 kW units and the two air filters, plasma filter with ionizer and micro dust filter.
Within the energy efficiency section we can see how the energy coefficients rise in comparison with the “cheap” LG unit, rising to A++ and A energy ratings for cooling and heat pump mode and for all units in the series.
LG ARTCOOL WHITE INVERTER V split air conditioning
With the ARTCOOL WHITE INVERTER V units we enter the section of “design” units of the LG 2014 catalogue with units very focused on satisfying the needs of the most demanding customers in the subject of design and image of their air conditioning units. This series brings the same technical characteristics as the SILVER DECO INVERTER V series but as we pointed out with more sophisticated and refined interior finishes with a more modern vision continuing with the policy not only of the LG brand but also of the other Korean brand in the air conditioning market: Samsung.
The powers offered in this range of LG air conditioners are in the most basic and usual powers of the great majority of the air conditioning market in the 1X1 split air conditioner range, being two the only powers available in this series: 2.5 kW with the A09WL.NSB unit and 3.5 kW with the A12WL.NSB unit.
The prices of these units are as follows: 1150€ for the 2.5 kW unit and 1250€ for the more powerful 3.5 kW unit. The price difference with their counterparts SILVER DECO INVERTER V with the same technical characteristics and equal performance is an increase of 250 and 300€, respectively.
LG ARTCOOL MIRROR INVERTER V air conditioning series
As it happened with the units previously analyzed, the ARTCOOL WHITE INVERTER V series with the new LG ARTCOOL MIRROR INVERTER V series we continue centered in “the image” and the design mainly since like this one we are speaking of a unit SILVER DECO INVERTER V but with a “more beautiful” and modern vision being its equal technical characteristics in the three ranges except in the unit A18RL. NSC that we believe that there is an error in the catalogue itself since it is marked as a 5.0 kW unit but in its technical characteristics it appears with 3.5 kW so we are sure that its data is wrong in this catalogue and we should not take into account the data provided by the brand.
Otherwise all the same, a more modern and exclusive image that we pay in the price of these units remaining at 1250, 1350 and 1900€ for the units of 2.5 kW, 3.5 kW and (5.0 kW) but with the same performance and consumption as the SILVER DECO INVERTER V.
ARTCOOL STYLIST INVERTER V
On this occasion, we have arrived at the ARTCOOL STYLIST INVERTER V, the most radical LG split air conditioning unit in the entire LG 2014 catalogue in terms of design. This unit has a special focus on design with a little bit of emphasis on performance and energy efficiency. However, we are talking about an expensive unit with a somewhat mediocre performance in terms of the outlay it requires, but which is sure to delight customers who are more concerned with design than with economy.
This unit comes with two different powers: 2.5 kW and 3.5 kW with an energy output of A+/A in both units, 3D air flow thanks to its multiple air outlets, LED light integrated in the unit and an innovative design control.
The prices of these air conditioners will be 1650 and 1800€ in the catalogue.
